12/18 Update:

Friday, December 18, 2009, 15:48

Rock are biting eels floated under eel bobbers at cbbt.
Fishing has been best on falling tide. The pocomoke and tangier sounds (southern portions) have produced some fish by trolling tandems and umbrellas. Some anglers have done well in the ocean just north of chinco. inlet. The pocomoke river has ha a good crappie bite with a few ring perch in the mix. These fish seem to be holding in 12+ft. and the best lure has been a white curltail tipped with a small minnow. Last, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

11/25 Update:

Thursday, November 26, 2009, 19:36

The rock trolling season is in full swing. Fish have been caught in the Tangier Sound and in the bay channel around the 68 to the 72a marker. The tackle is the standard umbrella rigs and tandem bucktails. We have good stocks of both including models with SS hooks. There are still school sized fish around that can be taken on casting lures and metal jigs. The Pocomoke River has a decent Crappie bite when the water level is at a norm. We have a good supply of live eels ,eel slip bobbers and rigs. The Assateague beach is open to walk on fishing.
